The countdown can begin, it is almost Team of The Year time…

What Is Team of The Year?

Team of The Year is the biggest promo of the year so far, and one that certainly builds the most hype. The best 12 players of the year are rewarded with super juiced cards for you to hunt down and pack. 99 rated cards? Icons, Evolutions, huge packs and more are expected to come over the next two weeks. 

When Does Team of The Year Start in FC 25?

Technically it has already started with Team of The Year Warmup kicking off on Tuesday night, but the real fun starts this Friday. We don’t have confirmation of dates, but based on previous years, this is how we think the schedule will look:

Friday 17th January - Team of The Year Attackers Release

Sunday 19th January - Team of The Year Midfielders Release

Tuesday 21st January - Team of The Year Defenders Release

Thursday 23rd January - All Team of The Year players in packs

Friday 24th January - 12th Man/Woman Release

Team of The Year Evolutions

The Team of The Year Evolutions have already started with TOTY Evo Star I. Through 6 chained Evolutions you’ll be able to take your chosen Centre Back to a Team of The Year level item. Kick off this Evolution by unlocking it via Objectives. 

They’ve taken Evolutions to the next level in FC 25 so don’t expect this to be the only one we see through TOTY, hopefully it’s going to be a fun two weeks for us Evo lovers.

Team of The Year Icons

The Loading Screen confirmed that Team of The Year Icons will be returning for their 3rd consecutive year, with three incredible cards teased so far. 

Brazilian CAM - Pele?

Dutch CB - Koeman?

French ST - Henry?

Team of The Year SBCs

It’s that time of year… Exchange SBCs are back (hopefully)! It was FC 24 Team of The Year where we were first introduced to Exchange SBCs and they really made a difference to the grind. 

League Specific Upgrade packs should also be expected to come for TOTY, meaning you can choose the cards you want to aim for and just open their league packs.

You should also be expecting huge player SBCs to come, with the likes of TOTY Best and Sawa, Flashback Bruno, Davies and Kante and Moments Morgan all coming through FC 24 TOTY!
