that's why you need to give your own twist on the custom tactics. Something that's horrible for me might work better for you. For me the 4-2-3-1 with the wingers to come back to defense works the best but for my friend the 4-1-2-1-2 works the best. It differs per player and their playstyle.
Do you count te goalkeeper in the 5 or did you hack the game?
Greatest player of all time. Maybe he can't really turn, react or pass the ball further away than 10m. He still scores from every possible place on the pitch with every bodypart.
Next gen or old gen?
I use Moments Del Piero as a CAM. He is not fast enough to play as a striker. When he is in front of goal he'll score and he gives amazing assists to my Weghorst.

Cech has cost me so many games. I'd rather use him as a striker than as a GK.
