FC 24 Futties Robin van Persie Player Review - Cop or Flop

Why didn't they tell us FUTTIES was morphing into Shapeshifters? Today we were given a LW RVP, who can alternatively play as a LM or a LWB.

Even before I started this review I noticed the card was heavily being downvoted and that trend seems to have continued over the past couple of hours.

Robin van Persie took the LM role in a 4231 with the engine chemstyle applied.

The above leads to a cost of around 250,000 coins which evidently hasn't helped with the voted ratings of this card.

How did he perform in game?

Let's start positively...

+ Shooting, this area of RvP's game was really strong even without having Playstyles+.

+ van Persie's Passing was brilliant and this was by far the most impressive part of the item, his through balls were great and his crossing was elite.

- Dribbling, 97 Dribbling just feels fraudulent with this guy in game, If you told me he actually had 80 dribbling in game I would believe it, and sure body type etc plays a factor here, but for someone with Technical+ his dribbling was disappointing.

- Physicals, ultimately for this stage of the game he failed to compete in this area and was very easily removed from possession by defenders who got hold of him.

The item isn't awful in the grand scheme of things but for this point in the game this item just isn't it, there are so many better wingers in the game and this item just does not suit that wide role.

This one is pretty easy, flop. There are so many good wingers already in the game and this RvP cannot compete with them, I can't imagine we'll see much of this item in champs going forward.

He's better suited to a CAM role than the wing..but again there are MANY better options already available.

If you’re willing to grind the season pass, you can pick up Rashford for free who’s a much better option.
