Winter Wildcards News, Release Date, Predictions & More

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! It’s Christmas which means it’s time for the annual winter promo, Winter Wildcards. Be ready for a lot of content over the next couple of weeks!

What Is Winter Wildcards?

Winter Wildcards has taken over FUTMAS as the Christmas/Winter promo and has been here since FIFA 22. With it will come 3+ promo teams presumably, objective cards and also player SBCs.

When Is Winter Wildcards Coming?

Technically it has already started with crafting objectives and best of in packs, but the real fun starts tomorrow. Winter Wildcards starts this Friday (20th December 6pm) and we expect it to run until Friday the 3rd of January at 6pm. 

Expect to see some crazy position changes with the promo players, we’ve had a ST Neymar, CF Fabinho and a CB Yashin before!

Winter Wildcards Loading Screen

Winter Wildcards is back and based on the loading screen, looks to be bigger and better than ever before. To start with, we’re already seeing 2 PlayStyle+’s on cards, this may not be every card but many just be saved for the top tier versions. Not only do we see the standard Winter Wildcard design, but also an Icon and Hero version. This is going to be very,very fun. 

Will There Be Winter Wild Card Swaps?

Swaps has been included in the Winter Wildcard promo in 2 of it’s 3 of its seasons, and with Mode Mastery Swaps proving popular, could they come again in FC 25 for Winter Wildcards? Nothing has been confirmed but we’d love to see it return!

Predictions

They could go anywhere with Winter Wildcards, Yashin CB really threw us off in 24. What’s next, dropping Haaland all the way to defence?

We can’t imagine it’ll happen but we’ve put together a Christmas themed objective which we’d love to see. After giving us an incredible free Jude or Bonmati, this might not be out of the question…
